The Law of Attraction Today we know the Law of Attraction from the famous book, The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne. The law was broken up into three steps, "Ask, Believe, Receive." You must ask the universe for something, believe you have it, and then be open to receive it. It is an excellent interpretation and has helped many. From my studies on the Law of Attraction they all seem to revolve around that same concept; giving the subject its validity. Here are some excerpts from The Science of Getting Rich by Wallce D. Wattles: "There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe" "A thought in the substance produces the thing that is imagined by the thought." "Man can form things in his thought, and by impressing his thought upon the formless substance can cause the thing he thinks about to be created." One great example of this is the cell phone. The book does a great job at describing examples like this. Lets take apart the cell phone; it is made of plastic and silicon computer chips. These chips and the plastic shell originated from the basic elements found on the periodic table and then turned into materials. These basic elements are matter of the Earth, of "the universe". They exist in their raw form until man came along. Somewhere, some person had an idea, a though in his head and applied it. Out came the cell phone. So it is safe to say before the cell phone existed it was only a thought, that thought was applied and impressed upon the universe and out came a product we use today. It is also safe to say that the creator knowingly or un-knowingly applied the law of attraction to create his invention. It went from nothing to something. The Law of Attraction operates under the principal, "Like attracts like". Everyone's been there at that PTA or School event, competition, or even a promotional event, that had a contest. The winner is always that rich guy who doesn't need it, yet it always happens everywhere you go. So there must be a slue of rich people cults rigging contest everywhere. Nah, they are simply in a millionaire mindset, and since like attracts like, they are favored on. One of the keys to the Law of Attraction is to be positive, to be attractive. Homeless are negative and unattractive. Celebrities are attractive and always positive, you may say they are positive because they are attractive, but this is a negative thought on your end; you may be thinking well it's impossible to be positive when I am not attractive, I need the latter first. This statement is the reason why we have the Law of Attraction; to bridge the gap between social classes and a negative mindset. If you take the system on complete faith and do the unheard of and be positive even thought there may not be anything there, then you are applying some aspects of the Law. It is all about change, if you don't desire change, but desire money, it will never come. If you change “like will attract like" you will be positive, you will be attractive, you will mirror celebrities, millionaires, rich people, the highest peak of the social class. Let's one again look at the homeless, if a homeless person were to attempt to get a job at a fast food restaurant, it wouldn't happen, it would be impossible. He first would need to change who he is, how he thinks, then buy a new set of cloths and speak correctly; after all of that was done, and on complete faith he can take a shot at a job interview. The same is for you who wish to reach the highest of high; the level of great men and Czars and Pharaohs. Another topic needing to be addressed, which was stressed in the Indigo Papers, is being creative, not competitive. The Law of Attraction pulls your desires "out of the universe" from an abundant resource. If we have the mindset that, "Mark took my CEO job I was in line for" you have entered a competitive mindset. You must stay creative and know that with every missed opportunity a better and more fulfilling one awaits around the corner. So after Mark was awarded his job (notice I didn't say, "...Mark took your job...”) you congratulate him, go about your business and someone from another, better firm will recruit you at double the pay that your previous CEO job was to offer. Or maybe that CEO position you wanted was a setup for the company, a fall, so you could take the bullet as the old CEO retires. A lot can happen, but if you are competitive you are not letting the Law work and Attract to you.
